JustRite Papercraft - You Make My Heart Smile Card

Hello Friends,
Today I have a card created with stamps and dies from the new JustRite Papercraft February Release. I had fun water coloring the background after stamping the beautiful flowers in white embossing powder.

I started by creating a 6 1/4" x 5 1/4" card base with white cardstock. The next layer was cut a bit smaller and water colored using Ken Oliver Color Burst.
I cut the top layer to 5 1/2" x 4 1/5" using water color paper. I stamped Floral Silhouettes One Clear Stamps using Versamark and Nuvo Glacier White embossing powder and then heat set. I used Color Burst water colors to color the background and then adhered to card with foam tape.
The flowers were die cut with Floral Trio Two Dies, and the vines and ovals for sentiment were die cut with Stitched Oval and Vines Dies. The sentiment from Chrysanthemums Clear Stamps was stamped with black ink onto oval piece and then adhered to card with foam squares. The flowers and vines were colored with water colors and then hot glued to card. I embellished the center of flowers with micro-beads.
For the bow I used white twine and then glued under flowers.

Supplies:

JustRite Papercraft: Floral Silhouettes One Clear Stamps, Chrysanthemums Clear Stamps, Floral Trio Two Dies, Stitched Oval and Vines Dies.

Other Supplies: Neenah Papers Natural White Cardstock, Water Color Cardstock, Versamark, Tonic Studios Nuvo Glacier White Embossing Powder, Ken Oliver Color Burst Water Colors, Micro-beads, Foam Squares, May Arts White Twine, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.

Hello Friends,
Rich and regal in appearance, along with a divine fragrant beauty and ornamental trumpet shaped blossom makes the lily flower a well known garden variety and a sure sign that spring has sprung.  Heartfelt Creations invites you to prepare to welcome the season of new beginnings, fresh starts and the bursting forth of nature with the new Sunrise Lily Collection. As the title of this assemblage suggests, it is filled with the romantic hues of a beautiful sunrise or sunset...glorious shades of pinks, oranges, and yellows  which also reflect the stunning color palette of the lily blossoms as they appear in the gardens themselves. Ravishing shades of greens, creams and whites bring a crispness and a breath of fresh air just as the spring season itself. Patterned papers reveal regal ornamental iron like scroll work, dainty lace elements and lovely vintage like floral details.  Beautiful imagery of lily filled vases, pretty flower adorned garden hats and luscious floral bouquets grace varying sized card panels, scrapbook layouts and embellishment tags, and are replicated in five sets of delicately detailed stamp illustrations.  The crowning glory to the collection itself is the dimensional lily flower that will add a touch of reality to each of your springtime creations.  So, chase away those winter blues brought on by old man winter, combat spring fever by filling your creative space with a touch of splendor as you begin creating with the Sunrise Lily Collection for the upcoming spring and Easter season.

Craft Hoarders Anonymous - Flower Scalloped Pop Up Box

Hello Friends,
Welcome to the February Craft Hoarders Anonymous Hop! You should be coming to my blog from Karen's Blog. To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog
Today I would like to share with you this Card in a Box, also called Pop Up Box that I created for my daughter's birthday. To make the card base I used Spellbinders Scalloped Pop Up Box die set. This die set has all the cutting and folding lines which makes it really easy to assemble your Pop Up Box. For the flowers and leaves I used Spellbinders Marisa's Bouquet die set and for the "Happy Birthday To You" sentiment I used Spellbinders Bordered Sentiments die set.
I designed these dies for Spellbinders last year, they all work together really well to create this project.
This Flower Pop Up Box can be folded flat for mailing or storing purposes.

Instructions:

1. Die cut Scalloped Pop Up Box largest die 4 times from natural white cardstock. Fold tabs in at the crease. Glue 4 pieces together at the tabs to form box. Fold only 3 flaps down at the crease leaving the back panel straight. Cover all panels with pattern paper.
2. Die cut 3 small rectangles from the set. Fold rectangles at the creases and glue to inside of box at 5/8” intervals. These rectangles are the support for the branches.
3. Die cut scalloped borders from the set and adhere to box .
4. Die cut Bordered Sentiments (Happy, Birthday, To You), adhere to box flaps next to scalloped border.
5. Using Marisa’s Bouquet set, die cut multiple flowers, branches, leaves and butterflies. Color with distress inks.
6. Shape petals and layer together to form flowers.  Adhere branches to rectangles inside box and then attach several sets of flowers on branches.
7. Decorate box flaps with more flowers, leaves and butterflies.  Die cut 2 sun shapes, layer together and adhere to back of the box with foam squares.  Embellish center of flowers with pearls.
I also created a square box for the card using the same sentiment dies, cardstock and pattern paper.
